Effective Communication skills

Being an effective teacher requires various skills. One of the most important is effective communication with students. This course will help you discover why the features and functions of communication (content talk, procedural talk and behaviour control dialogue) are crucial and their impact on each individual in the classroom.  You will also learn to recognize and use different types of communication - verbal, nonverbal and unintended.

Multiculturalism – Teacher’s Role in the Integration Process of Immigrant Children

The course will equip participants with knowledge and skills for creating a multicultural environment in their organisations.  Participants will learn how to understand different cultures, change stereotypes and get familiar with the programme for successfully integrating immigrant children into the school system.

Mindfulness and stress management in the classroom

The course focuses on detecting situations that might cause stress and anxiety and how to manage them through mindfulness and other effective techniques. In addition, these techniques can be taught to students and used in teachers’ daily lives.

Prevention and intervention in bullying

Bullying, including online bullying, in schools, is an important and complex issue affecting students today. While each school community and each student’s situation is different is necessary to learn the right strategies to prevent, reduce and respond positively to bullying. Primary prevention is crucial in ensuring a safe and encouraging environment for children to develop their potential. Reinforcing values of non-violence and developing skills for dealing with violence and child abuse should be our priorities.

Our teachers have a lot of positive energy!

Conflict management

This course will help you understand group dynamics and how they affect the classroom. The tensions, alliances and relational struggles among students can interfere with learning and create an unfavourable school environment. Participants will learn about the various types of conflict and how to use them as an opportunity for growth. Through dynamic, practical activities which can be immediately used in the classroom, participants will increase their ability to model and encourage active listening, empathy and emotional literacy among students.
